Girls

I am super excited about the April 15th premier of the HBO show Girls, created by and starring Lena Dunham of Tiny Furniture, and produced by Judd Apatow (whom I love for many reasons, not least of which is his hilarious, cute-as-a-button wife, Leslie Mann). It’s about four girls, muddling through post-college life in Manhattan.

They are younger, poorer, messier and goofier than the Sex in the City crew and from the look of the trailers, Dunham may be serving up a healthy dose of cringe comedy along with all the angst and heart inherent in that stage of life. Funny, bittersweet, and even a wee bit appalling – the show looks like it has it all.
